A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS?

Yo folks. I'm back~
Thought I would be displaying withdrawal symptoms from the Internet. But I'm not! (: was initially planning to blog tomorrow, but then unpacking is a bore.
So now, about the trip... It was simply unforgettable. I experienced so many things that I would probably never have had if I hadn't signed up for this. And I made such great budds. It really did something for the bonding between ourselves.
And I felt damn rich in HK. Haha. Everything was relatively cheaper and it was somehow impossible for me to deplete my resources! I thought I would be on a shopping rampage during the Loi Yen Gai night. But alas... I was not. The super duper long street of neverending shoe shops did not have it in my size. Everything bigger, but not one measly size smaller. Was rather disappointed at the end of the night. But the next afternoon made up for it! We had 2 hours of extra shopping at Citygate Mall. And damn was the stuff cheap. And mind you, they're genuine goods. It was full of factory outlets after outlets. Heaven. Haha. So, made up for the previous night and shopped like a mad person. Yay me for pulling it off (:
While unpacking for a little teeny weeny bit just now, I realised I bought mostly FOOD. Typical, isn't it? I've got like 10 boxes of Lou Po Beng on my dinning table at the moment. 5 of mom's favourite Hen Xiang's, 3 of some brand that Carrie bought for me (Thanks, Carrie!) and 2 of an unknown brand from my buddy (Thanks, Natalie!). And there's also like 4 Bo Luo Bao, some egg rolls, walnut cookies and some rice krispy thing. Food galore~
And I ate dim sum once in HK. I think we went to some lousy restaurant 'cause it tasted worse than Fortunate and far far far worse than Crystal Jade's. And I wasn't in luck! Egg tarts were either sold out, or wasn't out of the oven yet. And the egg tarts that I had sucked. And no Tan Tan. Awww. Bummer...
Ohohoh. And we met fellow Singaporeans at Citygate Mall. More specifically, NYJC people. I saw my ex-classmate in the queue at Esprit, but she was busy talking to her friend. And I saw their bus.
It's creepy to hear people whisper that we're from SR on the roadside. It's either we emit some sort of aura that they can tell, or they asked (which I doubt), or they had sharp eyes and caught a flash of the SR badge on jackets of a couple of us. Even in the linking tunnel thing to the plane from the airport, some guy walked right past us and turned around to exclaim "Serangoon JC!" with his arms raised above his head. Woah... Creepy much?
My eyes are like half closing now. I think I'll continue about HK another time. Tomorrow perhaps. I'll leave unpacking to another time. Goodnight, world (:
